And no, it doesn't make someone a horrible person really. It's just that the reasoning that seems to go with it DOES assume "horrible person" which is just ugh.

And I think that sometimes the behavior, or at least the result of the behavior, genuinely IS more rewarding. But only sometimes. And it's a very personal, YMMV thing, too. Long walks used to be very rewarding for me, but with the current gimpy-leg issues, they are a source of serious physical pain, and frustration and guilt over said pain, and fear that I will further lose mobility. I can totally get how rewarding they are for someone who doesn't HAVE that problem, though.
